Yūnus 10:28

The verse

10:28
On the day when We gather them all together, then We say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Us): Stand back, ye and your (pretended) partners (of Allah)! And We separate them, the one from the other, and their (pretended) partners say: It was not us ye worshipped. — Marmaduke Pickthall

The issue

The verse states that Allah speaks to people on the Day of Judgment. This matter is confirmed by another verse: “But, by thy Lord! we will question them, one and all…” (Q 15.92). Conversely, another verse states that Allah does not speak to the people on the Day of Judgment: “…and God will not speak to them on the day of resurrection [Day of Judgment]” (Q 2.174). Q 55.39 also states, “On that day neither man nor ginn [jinn] shall be asked about his crime"! Question: Will Allah speak to the people on the Day of Judgment?
